Back from space, again. Incredible sculpt here. I always have been a massive fan of chaos dwarves and I have to say Scibor Miniatures delivers some of the most interesting iterations out there. I really wanted to work on my bronze NMM for the armour but was quite disappointed with the result, even though the silver NMM lines gave a nice contrast because I worked on the positionning of my lights (white here and there). To get some contrast with the dark armour, I decided to go on with a heresy with the beard, as I painted a blond-bearded chaos dwarf! Hell, I know... But just wanted to try, to put the focus on the head. By the way, I firmly believe chaos dwarves should have a specific skin taint to reflect their environment and corruption. I used some red here, which speaks about the inner fire they have, but don't think was the most suited in the end. At least, it does the job by making the head the focus of the miniature. As always, I worked my dear gold NMM and I think I made a pretty decent job, even though I do not think my choice was coherent with the whole miniature. I guess I needed some parts where I was feeeling comfortable. Last but not least, I completely missed the red saddle fabric and was unable to smooth the transition. I will also try to make the crest more contrasted with the boar body. Well, even though it seems I completely are unhappy with the miniature, I'm not. It's just that I see flaws before success.
Retour sur Terre, après plusieurs mois de travail intense. Voici une sculpture incroyable. J'ai toujours été un fan des nains du chaos et je dois dire que Scibor Miniatures propose quelques unes de plus belles iterations. Je voulais vraiment travailler sur mon MNM bronze mais j'ai été assez déçu du résultat, même si les lignes argent MNM donnent un contraste intéressant parce que j'ai travaillé le positionnement de mes lumières (blanc pur ici et là). Pour avoir un contraste fort avec l'armure assez sombre, j'ai décidé de franchir le pas de l'hérésie avec un nain du chaos blond! Je voulais tenter l'expérience et mettre le focus sur la tête. Je crois que les nains du chaos doivent avoir une teinte de peau reflétant leur environnement et leur nature corrompue. J'ai utilisé du rouge pour la peau, qui rappelle le feu intérieur qui les anime. Ceci dit je tenterai autre chose si je réessayais. Au moins, je pense que la tête ressort fortement. Comme toujours, j'ai travaillé mon cher or MNM et je crois avoir fait un travail très correct, même si je pense que ça casse la cohérence de la figurine. Je pense que j'avais besoin de quelque chose où je me sente à l'aise. Enfin, j'ai complètement raté le tapis de selle rouge. Impossible d'adoucir les transitions avec mes glacis. Il faudra aussi que je fasse ressortir plus la crête du sanglier. Bon, ceci étant dit, même si j'ai l'air déçu de cette figurine, ce n'est pas le cas. C'est simplement que je vois plus facilement mes erreurs que mes réussites.
