Mythic Battles Pantheon Spartan Warriors

Here is a quite recent mini. I really wanted to paint these guys avoiding gold nmm and the usual red cape. Instead, I chose a more realistic paint, and so I did. I used a dark bronze nmm that I did mixing orange and brown, as usual. I added more orange for highlights and some agrax earthshade for shadows. The cape was painted with a light brown with blue in the shadows (mixed with the brown, of course). As for the lights, I used some bone white and the dry-brush technic to give some life to the cape and I think it's doing a good job at it. I did not work the skin much, just a pink flesh colour with a flesh wash and some lights on the muscles.

Few battle scars were added here and there and it was done. Really happy how it turned considering the time I gave to paint these spartan warriors.

Voici une miniature assez récente. Je voulais vraiment éviter l'or MNM et la cape. A la place, j'ai choisi un schéma plus réaliste. J'ai travaillé sur le bronze en MNM en mixant du marron et du orange, comme souvent. J'ai ajouté du orange pour les éclaircissements et du agrax earthshade pour les ombres. Pour la cape, je suis parti sur du marron clair ombré avec du bleu et éclairci avec du blanc os. J'ai utilisé la technique du dry-brush pour donner de la vie à la cape et je trouve que ça marche plutôt bien. Je n'ai pas beaucoup travaillé la peau, juste une base de chair rose avec un lavis chair et un peu de lumière sur les muscles. J'ai ajouté quelques impacts de bataille ici et là et le tour était joué. Je suis vraiment content du résultat si on considère le temps consacré à ces soldats spartiates.
